ProPhoto are heavily involved in the events and wedding industry in Ireland. We offer a wide range of photography related services and we need a big team to to help us.

We are looking for fun and patient people who are comfortable in large events and long hours. We work mostly weekends and have seasonal full time work.


We need lots of staff to work in the various roles that we have available. You DO NOT need to be a photographer for all positions. For example, Magic Mirror® operators will receive full training.

Please see below a list of the roles and rough job description. There is crossover between roles. Many of our staff are photographers and Magic Mirror® operators and will also work in the a Santa Grotto.

Photographers

A Photographer at a corporate event in Dublin

We need photographers who can attend the various events we are hired for. We provide our photographers all the photography equipment required for a job. We use Canon 1D bodies and L series lens. Some points on our photographers are below:

  • We attend sports events, corporate events and Santa Grottos

  • Our type of photography is specific and we have a set list of shots required. There is nothing too creative about it, it is very much a “point and shoot” environment

  • Photographers need to be in the right place at the right time

  • We shoot JPEG only, images are printed as is and we do not have time for ANY editing

  • Photographers have to be proficient with camera settings and ensuring sharp and correctly exposed images as we only get one change to capture a sports moment

  • Photographers regularly hand in their memory cards to the staff in charge of printing and uploading and get a new memory card to carry on shooting with

  • We have a detailed photographers handbook for hired photographers

Wexford Grotto Staff

ProPhoto provides the photography service for various grottos in Wexford and Dublin. Any grotto where there is an option of a professional photography service, that is where you can find us. We do NOT operate a grotto or be elves etc. we only organise the photographer and printing of photos.

Staff Roles

  • We need staff to display Santa Photos to a family and to sell them various packages

  • Staff will use Windows 10 computers and our software to import, display and print photos

  • Staff will take payment via cash or card and enter the details into the till

  • Staff will then take the prints and put them into a cardboard mount or snowglobes etc

  • Staff need to be friendly, patient and be able to talk to people, be clear and make sales

  • Grottos will need at least 1 x Photographer and 2 x Sales Staff

Magic Mirror® operators

The Magic Mirror® is the bread and butter of our work. We attend over 300 events per year, ranging from weddings, summer parties, birthdays and Christmas parties.

The Magic Mirror® is like a giant iPad, it takes photos of guests and prints them out. It is a form of entertainment at a wedding and event. Our job is to help create fun photos.

The Magic Mirror® is a type of photo-booth that does NOT require photography skills, only people skills. Full training is provided.

Some info on Magic Mirror® staff:

  • Operators will be required to setup, run and pack-up the mirror

  • Some staff will also be able to drive a van and equipment to an event

  • A typical shift is 8pm - 1am - (Thursdays - Saturdays)

  • Operators need to be comfortable in loud & busy environments

We are also looking for people over 24 who are able to drive a van and to manage an events.

Magic Mirror® Event Types

  • Weddings - Mostly in the South East

  • Corporate - All over Ireland

  • Christmas & Summer Parties - Wexford & Dublin

€ Magic Mirror® Pay Rates

Pay rates start at €90 for a local event ( allow 5 hours on average)

Milage and additional expenses are allowable

All Staff Requirements

  • Age - 18+ for most events , 17+ for Grottos

  • To be available for most of the weekend work

  • Grotto Staff to be Wexford based

  • To be presented neat and tidy

  • Basic uniform is all black - pants and tops - no leggings

  • To be able to get to and from events your self

  • To be punctual and stick to your roster


Payments

  • Your PPSN number will be required for payroll

  • You fill out a timesheet and send it to us

  • Payments will be every two weeks for Christmas Period Staff

  • Payments are to current accounts with IBAN ( no payments to Revolut)
